Gerard, Lafortune 1920 Lafortune Gerard was born in the 1920's in Petionville, Gerard did not start painting until relatively late in his life (ca.1980's). Gerard's work is highly valued by serious collectors. He was given prominent mention in Seldon Rodman's book, -Where Art is Joy - Haitian Art-. He is, like so many Haitian artists, entirely self-taught. |
