Chery originally started painting in 1976, and then stopped to become a framer at the Galerie Monnin for the past 20 years.
He started painting again on his own in 1995 and his naive style has been very successful. He has no formal training, but has appreciated and absorbed the art surrounding him at Galerie Monnin.
