He ended up working in a brick factory. Immediately he gained an interest in handling clay.
He began sculpting during his free time. He modeled human and animal forms which he brought to the Centre d´Art where he received encouraging support.

The Three Bears - SOLD
His sculptures can still be seen today in the Holy Trinity Episcopalian Church in Port-au-Prince along with the frescos of Bigaud, Bazile and Obin .
Painting soon became his other passion and he is now considered as one of Haiti´s major artists. His art is filled with fantastical animals in an imaginary world.
