Dreux, Nicolas Nicolas Dreux was born in Port-au-Prince. It was in 1973 that he began to paint under the direction of Calixte Henri who taught him the technique of scraping the painted canvas or hardboard with a razor blade. This unique process lends to his work a delicate feeling that is enhanced by his use of colors in the blue and gray tones.
