Blanc, Jean Claude 1965- Jean Claude Blanc was born on April 24th in Cap Haitian. His father was a gardener who distilled the local rum known as "Clairin". Blanc went to school until the age of nineteen. He plays guitar and studied mechanics for two years. He joined "l'atelier l'Arc en Ciel" in Cap Haitian where Laetitia Schutt was his teacher. He sold his first painting in in1983 and now has a studio in Port-Au-Prince. He makes his livelihood exclusively from his art. He has exhibited his art in galleries in Cap Haitian and in group shows in France. |
