Forest, Avril 1959- Avril Forest was born in Port de Paix. In 1973 he came to Port-au-Prince and started making collages using dried banana leaves. In 1980 he began working at the Galerie Monnin and refined his highly original style of scores of people peppering a monochromatic landscape. He has participated in numerous Haitian are show such as Art Cultura in Italy, Gallery Bukowskis in Zurich, Musee d'Art Naif in Nice, Canning House in London.
