Delinois, Amerlin 1958- Amerlin Délinois was born in Les Cayes in 1958. His father was a cultivator, and he encouraged him to further his studies. When he turned 18 he came to Port-au-Prince and worked both as a mechanic and as a painter for 8 years. One day the owner of an art gallery in Washington who was visiting Haiti, came to him with a car problem and was surprised to discover a painter. He is known for the finesse of his landscape paintings depicting typical scenes of everyday Haitian country life. |
